Well, I don't have any pictures to put up today, but I just wanted to say a few words about how my summer is going so far.
Literally, my last day of school was LAST Wednesday, I packed up the kids and headed to Upstate New York where my Mom lives with her husband. They have 31 absolutely beautiful acres. Many hours were spent throwing wood into the fire pit and roasting marshmallows. Colleen had the great fortune to see a deer on the property and R.J. had a blast running all over the place catching grasshoppers. The weather was not exactly cooperative while we were there. We had rain everyday off and on which was really no big deal. As soon as the rains came and poored, they stopped.
Since I've been home, the days have been flawless. Bob gets home from work, Colleen goes off to day-camp (where she has been named an "official" assistant counselor). By the time she gets picked up, it's bathing suit time and we head two doors down where my neighbor and her son have a virtual water park in their back yard. We've been sunning ourselves while the kids splash and play and then, before you know it, it's time for someone to throw something on the grill.
All in all -- summer is off to a fantastic start. I've actually been hoping for a rainy day since my basement needs some serious attention, but since the sun is shining . . . that chore is just going to have to wait for another day.

Hi Mrs. Callahan!
This is YunAh.
I'm really glad that I found you on Google. Hahaha. I couldn't find your e-mail address anywhere, so I'll be posting on your blog.
I hope you can see this message.
I thought your little ferry e-mail address was still in use, so I e-mailed you. But it's not in use anymore. Well, here's what I sent you on the e-mail :
Hello Mrs. Callahan!
This is YunAh.
I remember hearing that you have moved back to Texas, and I was feeling pretty down to hear this sad news. I haven't thanked you properly for all you have done for me. I really thank you for all your help. Your lessons are still fresh in my head as if it occurred yesterday. It really helped me throughout my high school years.
I'm really curious how you are doing in Texas.
I don't know if you still use this e-mail, but I guess it's worth a try to send you a mail.
Well, high school is different from middle school. I have a new obstacle called the SATs. Haha. I also heard that the SATs were more difficult back in the days. I wonder how everyone survived the dreadful tests... Heheh.
I hope I can receive your reply, and Mrs. Callahan.
I know very well that you are a GREAT teacher; I also have a feeling that the students in Texas respect you as much as I do.
I really want to know how you are doing in Texas.
I'll wait for your reply.
Until then, take care!
